Kara Mikles began her career at the firm in 2003. She is a shareholder and currently serves on the Management Committee. As an experienced trial attorney, Kara’s professional life is devoted to civil litigation primarily focused on defending commercial motor carriers and drivers throughout Arkansas. Kara routinely handles on-scene rapid response and consults on issues involving DOT compliance, as well as data retrieval and preservation. Kara’s practice also includes serving clients in product liability, construction defect, professional malpractice, premises liability, and workers’ compensation matters.
Kara is a member of the Trucking and Insurance Defense Association and Trial Attorneys of America, as well as an inaugural member of the Trucking Defense Advocacy Council. Kara has been named in The Best Lawyers in America since 2021 and is currently recognized in the practice areas of Insurance Law, Litigation – Insurance, Personal Injury Litigation – - Defendants, Product Liability Litigation – Defendants, Transportation Law and Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers. She achieved a Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating™ of AV® Preeminent. Kara is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and Pulaski County Bar Association.
Kara graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, with a B.A. in 2000. She obtained her juris doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas in 2003, where she was selected for the National Moot Court Traveling Team, a member of Phi Delta Phi, and served on the Board of Advocates from 2002 – 2003.
