Timothy J. Anderson is an associate who joined the firm in 2017. Before joining the firm, his practice was dedicated solely to medical malpractice defense litigation, defending individual physicians and clinics. He currently has wide-ranging litigation practice spanning multiple practice areas including medical malpractice defense, hospital defense, personal injury defense, contract disputes, construction disputes, and other insurance defense matters. He also represents and counsels his clients on general liability, premises liability, insurance defense, and other civil litigation matters. He represents individual clients in addition to business and non-profit entities.
Tim grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota before obtaining his B.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010. He began his legal studies at Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, before transferring to the University of Arkansas School of Law when his wife became a tenure-track professor at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. He obtained his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2015, where he participated in trial competition, negotiation competition, the civil litigation clinic, and the immigration clinic. In addition to his traditional legal studies, Tim also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Werner Institute within Creighton University School of Law in 2014. While attending the University of Nebraska, he also studied abroad in Querétaro, Mexico, and he speaks fluent, non-native Spanish.
Tim has been elected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021 to present. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel, and the William O. Overton Inn of Court.
